Club Races & Events 

The club hosts several annual races exclusively for members. Some are "Staggered Start Races", while others use a "Sealed Handicap Starts."

A stagger-start race allows slower club members to compete against faster runners on a more even footing. Sealed Hanpicap starts are based on recent race times and aim to give everyone a fair chance.

Results from club events are published on our Facebook page, until we get our club results page up and working.

Club Races

  • Stuart Spooner Anniversary Three Mile (sealed handicap race)

  • Carnaby Canter (sealed handicap race)

  • Constable Race (staggered start)

  • Christmas Race (staggered start) – run in Fancy Dress if you like.

Events

  • Eddie Knapp Challenge

  • Club Summer League - Points awarded on performances across eight races (best 6 to count)

  • Winter League - Points awarded on performances in Constable Race, Christmas & Anniversary Three Mile, March Mile, and a designated Sewerby Park Run.
